Selecting a well-balanced deck with complementary abilities will give you the upper hand in various scenarios, laying the foundation for your strategic prowess.

Each ability in Dfiance is a skill to be honed. Understanding the mechanics behind each card’s ability is essential for unleashing its full potential. Exploring the Dfiance Wiki or engaging in discussions with players can deepen your comprehension, empowering you to make informed decisions during battles. Learning abilities is only the first step. The true artistry lies in their application. Experimenting with various techniques and combinations will unlock new possibilities in your gameplay. A fearless approach to trying new strategies and tactics will elevate your skills, making you a formidable force on the battlefield.

Cards with abilities have a stunning impact on the course of events in Dfiance. You can reverse the tide of a battle with well-timed abilities or a clever combination of cards. Whether it’s the game-changing “Double Agent,” the resounding impact of “As One” across the entire battlefield, or the unparalleled support of “Flag Bearer,” these cards alter the dynamics of combat and allow for the creation of legends in the world of Dfiance.

Abilities
  1. Medic: Actively revive a Unit from the discard pile, giving it a second chance on the battlefield. Heroes and Spell cards remain unaffected by this ability, but it can turn the tide when used strategically.

2. Blood Bond: A powerful skill that summons all same-name or prefix copies of the card from your deck and hand, placing them on the battlefield in a show of united strength.

3. As One: Amplify the base ATP (Attack Power) of all Units sharing the same prefix or name on the battlefield. Uniting forces leads to an unstoppable onslaught.

4. Double Agent: A cunning ability that can be optionally deployed on the enemy’s row. Every two turns, it attempts to assassinate a random enemy Unit from the row, making it a formidable threat when used wisely.

5. Rally: Dynamically double the ATP of Units to the left and right of the Rally card, providing a sudden surge in power during critical moments.

6. Flag Bearer: Take control of the battlefield with this active ability that doubles the ATP of a chosen Unit. However, it cannot buff itself and can be dispelled.

7. Auxiliary: A versatile ability that increases the ATP of a target Unit on the battlefield by 1. A subtle but impactful support move.

8. Immunity: Grant immunity to negative effects such as “Terrifying” or flanking, as well as negative-effects spells, ensuring your Units remain unscathed.

9. Terrifying: Strike fear into your enemies as this ability reduces the ATP of all weaker enemy Units on the opposite row by 50%, creating an advantage in battle.

10. Command: Take control of friendly Units or Heroes, repositioning them to a different row. Units without supremacy suffer a halved ATP when moved.

11. Intimidate: Subdue an equal or inferior enemy Unit and relocate it to a different enemy row. Similar to Command, Units without supremacy face a halved ATP upon movement.

12. Supremacy: An unparalleled ability that can be deployed on any row without penalty, providing a significant tactical advantage.

13. Counter Intel: Deploying this ability initiates an attempt to destroy a random enemy Double Agent on the battlefield, achieving success if their ATP is equal or lower.

14. Mind Control: Skillfully influence an equal or inferior enemy Unit, setting it up for an assassination attempt after two turns. This effect can be dispelled, adding a layer of strategy to its usage.

15. Dispel: Neutralize the last magical effect from a target friendly or enemy Unit, creating an opportunity to change the course of the battle.

The time and place of when you decide to use there abilities is a deciding factor in the coming battle. Choose wisely, sometimes it’s best to lose a fight to win a war.
